It's all about Jelynn ;

Jelynn has been doing pretty good in school. I still cannot believe how fast her transition was. I never thought she would love going to school but she does absolutely love it. Even when she's not feeling good she doesn't want to be absent. She keeps telling me to make her appointments to the doctor or to the dentist after school. We got her report card last week. They have different grading system ...it's 1, 2, or 3 making 3 the highest meets and exceeds requirements. She got about 95% 3's so which was pretty good. She was even tested on things her classmates weren't tested on. They tested her reading level because she is a good reader and the result was mid first grade. Her teacher has only good things to say about her and I feel so proud. Hopefully she'll continue to love school.
Anyways, because I talked about Jelynn I'll share some layouts I've done recently of Jelynn. Here they are:

My one month old baby ;
Monday, November 12, 2007 9:42 PM

Jessela is one month now. I cannot believe how fast times flies. She is getting heavier and heavier everyday. She sleeps a little longer now. She now have a schedule so I am able to catch some sleep from time to time. About a week ago I brought her to the doctor because she caught the girls' cold. She's better now. She's not having a runny nose anymore and she didn't have any fever. Unfortunately, the big girls are still having the cold. I guess the flue shot they had isn't really working. Anyways, since she had the cold her pediatrician suggested she sleeps in the car seat or the bouncer so she's elevated and since then she's been sleeping on her bouncer. Everytime I try to put her on her crib she cries lol. So she's been sleeping in the bouncer. We bought her another bouncer so that we don't have to keep bringing the bouncer up and down. She loves it. It's a lifesaver for me too hehe because she can only sleep longer when she's in the bouncer which gives me time to catch some Zzzz's. Last time we went to the doctor she was already over 8lbs probably she has gained a few more ounces. She drinks milk every couple of hours during the day at about 4 ounces each feeding sometimes when she's really hungry she does 8 ounces. That is the reason why her cheeks are so chubby now hahaha.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby may gurgle, coo, grunt, and hum to express his feelings. A few babies also begin squealing and laughing. Be sure to coo and gurgle back, and talk to your baby face to face. He'll enjoy holding your gaze now.
If you have things to do, your baby will still enjoy hearing your voice from across the room. And don't feel silly about talking baby talk — babies are particularly attuned to this high-pitched, drawn-out way of communicating that can actually teach your baby about the structure and function of language.
Your life: Mixed feelings
Even when you're the happiest person on earth to be a new parent, it's common to have nagging little feelings of disappointment. Not that you want to tell anyone. But you spent nine months imagining what your baby would be like and now here he is — perhaps not exactly what you'd pictured. Parents of a baby born with a health problem are especially vulnerable to this feeling of not getting what they'd bargained for. But parents of perfectly healthy children often have such feelings, too:
• The mother of three boys who'd hoped for a little girl
• The older mom who probably won't have any more children and really wanted a little girl but got a boy instead
• The mom who expected twins at first but gave birth to a singleton after one fetus died in utero early in the pregnancy
• The mom whose baby looks like an exact clone of Daddy and not one bit like her
In all of these situations, there's a perfectly healthy baby to celebrate. And yet there's often an imaginary baby to mourn over before the real baby can be fully embraced. Rarely does anybody talk about this phenomenon, but it's perfectly normal and human. So if your joy is tinged with a little regret, don't feel too guilty. Give yourself a little space to privately grieve, and then count the blessings you do have.Labels: Baby JE
My three fairies ;
Wednesday, November 07, 2007 9:41 PM
This Halloween I had the girls dressed as fairies. We were trying to avoid the Disney princesses this time around because Jelynn and Jewelle practically did all the princesses already. At first Jewelle wanted to be Little Red Riding Hood then she wanted to be Dora...it was hard to find costume for her because she kept changing her mind. When we went to children's place she saw the fairy costume and immediately tried it on since she was so cute in it I bought it hehehe. With Jelynn naman, she was going to be a witch supposedly but then I couldn't find a witch costume that she likes so when we went to gymboree and saw a fairy costume that is different from her sister we bought it for her. We can't go to Halloween Spirit store because Jewelle was afraid to go inside so we were limited to a few stores. I also bought a costume for Jessela but she didn't go trick and treating because the weather was cold and I didn't want her to get sick. I bought a strawberry jumper and a hat for her so she was supposedly going to be a strawberry but then I saw the little tinkerbell costume so that's was her costume. Here are the pictures of the girls:

And here's my little baby Jessela as Tinkerbell.

Layout share again ;

I badly needed to scrap because of my CT requirements even though my two CTs are really great I feel bad not doing anything. They told me it's okey if I won't be able to do anything for awhile. But then that would be unfair for them so everytime Jessela takes a nap I go to the computer and try to do a layout. After so many days I finally finish a layout. Here's a layout of the Jelynn & Jewelle:

Hopefully I can scrap some more since I have soooo many goodies to play with. But that will depend on Jessela's schedule lol.Labels: Digiscrapping
Fun at the Pumpkin patch ;
Monday, November 05, 2007 9:39 PM
I been having trouble with my computer and hard drive once again so I having a hard time uploading my photos. A week after Jessela was born we took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch by Half Moon Bay. It was suppose to only take us 20 minutes to get there but TRAFFIC was bad. It took us over an hour. I guess we chose the day when everybody decided to go there too heheh. The girls had so much fun playing with the big bouncers, their playground, riding the ponies and riding the train. They also had fun picking their pumpkins. Here are some of the photos from our trip to the pumpkin patch:

I have a hard time getting the girls to look at the camera. Their eyes were wandering everywhere lol. There were just too many things to look at that it was hard for them to concentrate on looking at the camera hahah.

The Girls riding the ponies. I thought that the girls would not want to ride the ponies because before they didn't want to but they loved it. Jewelle was waving and smiling. They didn't even want to get off heheh.

The girls trying to find their very own pumpkins. Jelynn was having a hard time carrying even a small pumpkin. Jewelle on the other hand did not want a big pumpkin she wanted gourds lol. So that what she got.

Photos after the train ride. Jessela was sleeping hahaha. She actually was sleeping the whole time we were there so no decent picture of her but at least she has a picture with the pumpkins behind us lol.
Anyways, that's about it...I'll share the Halloween photos next time..Have a great week everyone!Labels: Weekend Recap
Like cats and dogs ;
Wednesday, October 31, 2007 9:38 PM
I swear my two oldest girls fight like cats and dogs. They bickering is nonstop when they are both home. We only get peace around here when Jelynn is in school. But when they are both here they would fight about the toys, the food, the computer, the TV. But I know even when they fight and bicker like any other sisters/siblings out there I know how much they love each other. Everytime I get mad at one of them, the other one will defend her sister. I wish that even with all the bickering they would continue to be close to each other no matter what. Here are some of the layouts of the two oldest when they are not fighting lol.

just peeking ;

I seem to have forgotten how to care for a newborn lol. I should have taken a class before giving birth hahah.
Newborns - they eat every couple of hours
Ahhh how true is this? Jessela is awake every two hours for feedings. I swear you can't even sleep within those two hours she's asleep. It's always been hard for me to sleep anyways so by the time I'm finally dozing off..she's getting ready to wake up. I know this will last for a couple more months until her tummy gets big enough to consume a lot more food so she doesn't need to wake up every couple of hours. This means a lot more sleepless nights for me.
If she's not crying for food...she's crying because either her diaper is wet or she made poopie.
Oh yeah...I forgotten this too...I seem to be changing her diaper every couple of hours too...it is either wet or she made number two. And she hates being changed at night because it's cold. So I have to change her diaper as efficiently as I could.
Rico was here for three weeks so he was able to take care of Baby JE for the last two weeks so I was able to rest and recuperate but he went back to work again last friday so I'm left with the three girls. It was pretty sad to see him leave again after having him here everyday for the last three weeks but what can I do...that's his job. I say that over and over again in my head so that I won't feel sadder. This is the second day and I already feel like a zombie. Yesterday I had a huge headache from the sleepless night. I wanted to take some motrin but I might dozed off and would have a hard time waking up so I didn't. Thank God, my Dad took over this morning and I was able to sneak in about 4 hours of sleep so I feel a little better.
But Jessela is better than Jelynn when Jelynn was a baby. She only cries when she's hungry and needs diaper change. After that she won't cry. She is satisfied wherever you put her. She's like Jewelle. Jewelle was never a fuzzy baby. Jelynn was the opposite maybe because she was the first born. We got her used to being carried..being out in the carseat or stroller so it was hard for all of us when it's time for bed. But Jessela...she's pretty good. She loves it when her big sister Jelynn talks to her. Jelynn would come home from school and she would tell stories to Jessela and Jessela would be patiently listening to her sister. Jewelle would sing to her and Jessela would stop crying. They are so sweet to their baby sister and I am just so glad.
Jessela is now 16 days old. I bet she has probably gain a couple more ounces. At her last appointment last tuesday she was already 7lbs and 2ounces and almost 20 inches. She's always eating kasi that's why she's growing pretty fast. Soon I bet she won't fit on the clothes I recently bought her.
As for me...I have been having leg and chest pains so I have been back to the doctor because we want to rule out pulmonary embolism which is pretty deadly. She said that it doesn't seem like it's swollen so we'll just watch it and hopefully it's just muscles pains. Been bleeding still though. I asked it if that's normal she said it's normal up to six weeks after birth. I still need a lot of rest so I won't blog as much as I used to for couple more weeks. Plus we scheduled Jessela's baptism on December 1st so I still have a lot to do. Baptism classes, interviews, getting invitations, favors and etc. With three kids calling my name all the time..I have my hands pretty much full.
Anyways, have to go coz the little princess is awake. I'll update again later. Here are a couple of pictures to share...been taking a lot but I'm having problem uploading them to the computer so will share some of them later...have a great week everyone and thanks for the visit!
